#4 RTDSF1 Bus/Van/Camper Conversion
Our #4 RTDSF1 material is specifically designed with your project in mind. This material comes with a peel and stick adhesive that bonds directly to a clean metal surface making it easy when DIY. It reflects 97% radiant heat on both sides and reduces a significant amount of road noise. It is a perfect vapor barrier and prevents indoor moisture from turning into liquid condensation protecting your unit from mold. A unique property that sets this material apart is an anti-static foam that lines the exterior of our product. This quality allows electronic components to be installed along insulation without the risk of conducting a short in case of one.
This material normally comes in 54” x 50’ rolls covering a total of 225 Sqft. It is available with adhesive on one or both sides or without adhesive on either side.
Since the material reflects heat instead of holding it, it does not have a fixed R-Value. In turn, an engineer came up with a calculated R-value for this material.
For information about the calculated R-Value of this product, please refer to R-Value Calculations by Dale Whipple in our Technical Data portion of the website.
Dale Whipple is an engineer who calculated an R-value of R38 for this product at 80% temperatures. He also states that as the temperature rises so does the R-value.

It is installed in RV’s and tractor trucks to keep heat out of the cab and interior of vehicles. This product is also popular in Hot Rod refurbishing.
The SSFSM02 genenerally comes in sheets that are 54” x 8’ covering a total of 36 Sqft. It is available in ¼” and ½” thickness. Available with and without adhesive
